You need:

  • Unreal Speed Blaster.
  • Unreal Barinautical.
  • (Optional) Legendary Terra Blade.

Potions

  • (Many!) Recall Potions.
  • Greater Healing Potions.
  • Archery Potions.
  • Thorns Potions.
  • Ironskin Potions.
  • Rage and Wrath Potions.
  • Regeneration Potions.
  • Swiftness Potions.
  • Night Owl Potions.
  • Inferno Potions.

Armor

  • Chlorophyte Helmet Armor.

Accessories

  • Warding Ice/Flame Wings.
  • Warding Flesh Knuckles.
  • Warding Charm Of Myths.
  • Warding Lightning Boots.
  • Warding Worm Scarf.

Note: You can use Demon Heart to get one bonus slot.

The Fight

Start shooting Calamitas and fly to right side of map, when you´re in sticky situtation, use recall potion and wait for Calamitas when you see lasers start shooting at right and fly to left. Repeat this until, Calamitas summons Cataclysm, but focus still on Calamitas. Do the same with Catastrophe. When he says “Most Impressive Child, Most Impressive”, Start using Recall Potions more commonly. When Cataclysm and Catastrophe awokens, start focusing on Catatrophe, then focus on Calamitas again. Do this until Calamitas dies.

Note: You should kill Plantera before Calamitas, because Plantera is way much easier!

Here’s what Isabelle will do in Animal Crossing: New Horizons – VG247

She’s back!

Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo
During Nintendo’s Animal Crossing: New Horizons livestream presentation, the developer detailed the return of everyone’s favorite Shih Tzu. That’s right, Isabelle the GOAT is back, and she’s here to help you on your new island life.
In Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Isabelle acts as the secretary to the player’s mayoral role. Based on the brief footage shown during today’s Nintendo Direct, it seems that Isabelle will support the player with general operations around the island getaway. Options shown included changing island evaluations, changing the island tune, changing the flag, and discussing the residents. So, she’s taking on a very similar role as despite technically not being your secretary any more.
Bonus: Isabelle is now wearing a very comfy lookin’ Hawaiian shirt. I hope she’s having a good time here.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons sends players on an island vacation as part of the Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package. Transported to a deserted island, players will establish a new life, craft and build custom items, and interact with newcomers as they arrive at the island destination. The Nintendo Switch sequel will add brand-new villager customization options and support for up to eight players in local and online multiplayer. Features from previous games, like a museum that can be filled with flora, fossils, and other items, will return in New Horizons.
Nintendo will release Animal Crossing: New Horizons for Switch on March 20. Nintendo will also release a special Animal Crossing-themed edition of the Nintendo Switch on March 13. It’s available for pre-order now.

Fortnite season 2’s biggest changes include new spy agencies, a cardboard box – VG247

There’s no better place to hide

Image: Epic Games
Fortnite chapter 2’s second season is here, but unfortunately, there are still no official patch notes. Just like all of chapter 2 season 1, Epic has declined to include official patch notes with the new season patch, so we’re doing our best to figure out what has changed and what hasn’t.
The biggest changes this patch appear to have hit the island itself. The Ghost and Shadow factions, which appear to be secretive espionage organizations, have taken over the entire island. They have hideouts all around the map, and apparently players will be able to fight for one side or the other, at least according to Epic’s preview post.
As part of this new change, there are all kinds of new points of interest spread out around the map. These include an offshore oil rig, a giant yacht, and more than a few secret bases spread out in other areas.
As for the gameplay itself, the changes are a little bit harder to track. With no patch notes, folks on Reddit have already started putting together their own unofficial lists of the changes.
It appears that Damage Traps, P90s, and Bolt Action Sniper Rifles have all been vaulted. Meanwhile, weapons like the Minigun, C4, Grapplers, all the suppressed weapons, and even Launch Pads are back in competitive play.
There also appear to be new vaults in the game that allow players to open them and collect the loot inside, but only if they have the right key cards. Players can also now throw consumable items, like shield potions, which should make for some interesting squad plays. Finally, as a nod to the espionage games that came before it, it seems there’s a new version of the old Bush: a cardboard box designed to enhance players’ sneakiness.
While these are most of the changes that have been found so far, this is Fortnite, and that means that there are probably dozens more changes waiting to be discovered. Fortnite chapter 2 season 2 is live now, and will continue until April 29.

The biggest announcements from the Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Direct – VG247

So much customization!

Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo
Nintendo aired a new Animal Crossing: New Horizons Nintendo Direct presentation today, featuring new information about the game, including what it’s like to start out on a new island and what you can do.
It was chock-full of new features for the game, so here’s some of the biggest announcements from the stream:

CHOOSE YOUR ISLAND LAYOUT AND YOUR HEMISPHERE

You’ll be able to choose from four island options to find your desired layout, meaning you won’t have to start completely over to get a layout you like. You can also select what hemisphere you want your island to be in, so it’ll experience different seasons during different times of the year.

PLACE WHERE YOUR VILLAGERS’ HOMES WILL GO

New villagers will no longer just plop their homes down wherever, ruining your landscaping. You’ll decide where they go yourself. You can even place a spot for a future resident before they move in.

UP TO 8 PEOPLE CAN BE ON ONE ISLAND VIA MULTIPLAYER

You’ll be able to visit other islands using a service called Dodo Airlines at the airport, with up to eight people being able to play together at once. You can also have up to eight residents on one island, playing on one copy of the game, though only four can play on local multiplayer at once.

COMPLETE ACHIEVEMENTS TO EARN NOOK MILES

Nook Miles can be used to buy items or to pay off some of your dreadful loan. After all, going on a fancy vacation isn’t free. Achievements will have you catching fish or bugs.

A RESCUE SERVICE WILL TAKE YOU HOME IF YOU GET LOST ON YOUR ISLAND

If you get caught in a tough place while decorating, or maybe you’re just too lazy to walk back to your house, you can call a rescue service. Though the rescue operator wasn’t named, their tone of voice and the music playing implied that it was … Mr. Resetti with a new job.

ANIMAL CROSSING: NEW LEAF AND HAPPY HOME DESIGNER DESIGNS WILL BE IMPORTABLE

Using the Nintendo Switch app, players can read the QR codes from old games’ designs and import them to New Horizons. If you had a jacket design you really liked in the old game, you won’t have to remake it!

DECORATE YOUR HOMES FROM AN OVERHEAD VIEW

Just like in Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, you won’t have to stand around where you want to place furniture. You’ll be able to decorate freely without your character in the way.

YOU’LL BE ABLE TO TERRAFORM YOUR ENTIRE ISLAND

After receiving a permit, you can not only make paths, but extend or remove rivers, and even out some of the land. This cranks up the island customization to 11 in this game, as you can truly make your island into whatever you want.

RANDOMS WON’T BE ABLE TO MESS UP YOUR TOWN

You’ll be able to choose who can chop down trees or edit your island, so while your friends will be able to help you out, random people won’t be able to ruin your home.

FREE UPDATES WILL ADD HOLIDAYS

The game will continue to update, adding holiday events throughout the year. The first event will be for Bunny Day in April, and it’ll be a day-one update on March 20.
Fortnite chapter 2 season 2 battle pass is full secret agents and cats – VG247

A new season means an all-new battle pass

Fortnite chapter 2’s second season is finally here, and that means a new battle pass with 100 tiers worth of rewards for players to unlock. While plenty of changes arrived with the new season, the battle pass should be familiar to most Fortnite players.
This season’s battle pass comes with around 100 cosmetic items, none that change gameplay at all. The items are locked behind certain tiers of the pass and everything players do in-game helps them gain experience to advance their pass to a higher tier. Alongside the in-game experience, the battle pass also has dozens of challenges, with new ones unlocking each week for players to get progress faster.

This season’s skins are all secret agent themed, except maybe for the giant man-cat. But because there are two factions, it looks like just about every skin will have at least three versions, one standard, one for the Shadows, and one for the Ghosts. To unlock these, players can choose to complete challenges from either faction each week, which will unlock that faction’s specific styles.

Just like previous passes the season 2 battle pass will cost 950 V-Bucks in the in-game store. There is also a version of the pass that automatically unlocks the first 25 tiers and costs 2,800 V-Bucks. The pass itself also gives players V-Bucks as unlocks at various tiers. The season 2 pass has a total of 1,500 V-Bucks that players can earn if they complete the entire pass.
For players who don’t necessarily want to buy the pass, there is also a free version which offers limited rewards and only a few challenges. The free pass will still accrue experience and level up, just like the paid pass, but you won’t unlock any of the paid items. If you decide to upgrade the pass in the future, you’ll get every reward you’ve earned up to that point.
The Fortnite chapter 2 season 2 battle pass is out now, and will be available until April 29.

NookLink app lets Animal Crossing: New Horizons players pull custom designs from previous games – VG247

Start charging your 3DS

Image: Nintendo
The Animal Crossing franchise is getting a new feature spanning the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons and two previous 3DS games. It’s called NookLink, and it begins shortly after New Horizons’ launch.
With NookLink, players may pull custom designs from Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer, and Animal Cross: New Leaf into New Horizons, using the Nintendo Switch Online mobile app. Players can use their smartphone’s camera to scan QR codes from the two earlier games, bringing the custom designs into New Horizons.
For example, the Direct showed a player drawing a Tom Nook pattern on their Nintendo 3DS, using NookLink to scan the QR code, and putting the pattern on a t-shirt for New Horizons. Players can also use NookLink as an in-game chat service, either voice or text, for Animal Crossings: New Horizons.
Two entries in the NookLink menu went unmentioned during the direct: Passport and Best Friend. We’re currently unsure what they do.
Animal Crossing: New Horizons, launching March 20 on Nintendo Switch, sends players on an island vacation as part of the Nook Inc. Deserted Island Getaway Package. On their island, players will establish a new life, craft and build custom items, and interact with newcomers to the island destination.

After a long wait, Mount & Blade 2 enters early access on March 31 – VG247

Bannerlord has been in development for nearly a decade

Image: TaleWorlds
Mount & Blade 2: Bannerlord finally has a release date. The hybrid action strategy game will enter early access on March 31 for $49.99. TaleWorlds is selling the game through both Valve’s Steam marketplace and the Epic Games Store.
Polygon hasn’t had a chance to play the game since 2017, when a hands-on preview was offered to the press at E3. Developers opened up a closed beta to interested fans early last year, and announced the March 2020 release window over the summer. It’s all excellent news for a beloved franchise that went nearly dark for a few years in the middle of the last decade.
The Mount & Blade series blends first- and third-person melee action with a rich strategic layer. It’s a bit like playing the Total War series, but while directly controlling your commander on the field of battle. The franchise allows players to create their own band of warriors and lead them into battle, commanding infantry, archers, and mounted knights.
The sequel to 2010’s Mount & Blade: Warband, Bannerlord is an ambitious attempt to expand the gameplay of the original. It includes complex siege mechanics — with weapons like towers, catapults, and ballista — alongside diplomacy, crafting, and a sandbox economy.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons getting seasonal updates and other free DLC – VG247

Starting on launch day

Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo
Animal Crossing: New Horizons players will receive free content drops in the form of seasonal events and other updates, Nintendo announced during an Animal Crossing Nintendo Direct presentation on Thursday morning.
The first of these post-launch add-ons will actually be available on the day of the game’s release, March 20. This update will prepare New Horizons’ villagers for the celebration of Bunny Day in April, which appears to be an Easter-themed holiday. (Nintendo did not provide more specific timing on the Bunny Day in-game event, but Easter this year is on Sunday, April 12.)
Nintendo also announced a bonus for people who own both New Horizons and Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp, the mobile game that the company released on Android and iOS in 2017. Those players will receive “special items in each game,” Nintendo said in a news release, adding that it will provide further details in the future on Pocket Camp’s Twitter account. There’s no word yet on when this offer will go live.
Images of that free cross-game content included OK Motors-themed items for New Horizons, as well as Nook Inc.- and Dodo Airlines-themed items that can be used in Pocket Camp.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons will let you terraform your island – VG247

Ladders, bridges, stairs, and more!

Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo
Animal Crossing: New Horizons will let players navigate their new living spaces like never before, with pole-vaulting across rivers and ladders that let villagers climb up cliffs. But a new endgame option coming to Animal Crossing on Switch will let players transform their islands with a feature called the construction permit.
Once your island is “fully decked out,” Nintendo says, you’ll get a permit that will let you do things like pave new pathways and handle full-on construction jobs. As shown in Thursday’s Nintendo Direct, players will be able to change the paths of rivers, as well as build and demolish cliffs in New Horizons. The options appear to be somewhat limited — this isn’t Minecraft, after all — but it will be interesting to see how players terraform their islands and make them easier to explore.

Animal Crossing: New Horizons allows up to eight character accounts on a single Switch – VG247

Four can play together on a single Nintendo Switch, while a second console is required for all eight

Image: Nintendo EPD/Nintendo
There’s no doubt that the upcoming Animal Crossing: New Horizons is charming, but it’s also surprisingly economical. That’s because up to eight players can create a character on a single Nintendo Switch console, and up to four can play together at the same time on one device. It’s great news for families and roommates, or anyone who would like to start out a close-knit island community together.
During Thursday’s Nintendo Direct presentation, the team at Nintendo adopted an odd, infomercial-style delivery. While a little unsettling at first, it was actually an excellent way to deliver the details on an experience with more than a few exceptions, caveats, and provisos. Most of them were cleared up during the FAQ segment at the end — including details on how the Nintendo Switch Online smartphone app comes into play.

Toward the end, Nintendo explained that up to eight Nintendo Account holders can create a character, or “resident,” on a single Nintendo Switch console. Up to four of those residents can play together on the same console at the same time, provided they have enough Joy-Cons. A second Switch — and more Joy-Cons — are required for the other four residents to participate simultaneously, via a local wireless connection or online play.
It’s a welcome change from Animal Crossing: New Leaf on the Nintendo 3DS, which allowed up to four players but required additional handhelds. With New Horizons, all you’ll need is a few more Switch controllers, so it might be a good idea to start stockpiling them now.
