When can I play Monster Hunter World: Iceborne? The Monster Hunter: World expansion pack is set to attack the PC this week and for all those people who have been patiently waiting for Iceborne since it launched for the console in September, the big question is : when?
As we noted earlier, Monster Hunter World: Iceborne launches on January 9, this Thursday. The game will launch globally around the same time, and that will happen at 9:00 am PST, at noon at EST and at 17:00 GMT. That might mean staying up late on Thursday if you’re living in eastern Europe – but if you’ve been immersed for hundreds of hours in Monster Hunter: World, then it’s probably something you used to be late at night. use.
Even if you have purchased Icetern, the expansion pack will come with a major title update for all Monster Hunter: World players. That patch actually contains all the content for Iceborne, and in total you’ll need 48 gigabytes of storage for all the new giant monsters you’ll go from head to toe.
Here is the trailer:
While you’re waiting to debut, you can check out our Monster Hunter World: Iceborne review, calling the expansion pack one of the best DLC releases in recent memory.
We also gathered some hunting guides for the new monsters you face. There, Ban Bano, has horns as big as an elk to throw you and Palico into the air; Tigrex, first appeared in Monster Hunter Freedom 2; and fan favorite Nargacuga.
Icetern starts after the events in Monster Hunter: World, and you’ll need to complete the main quest (and see the credits) to get started. Luckily, there are new suits of armor and weapons to build that will give you a little extra boost if you lag behind in basic game content.
