It’s been a killer year for the PS4, and it isn’t yet over
Gaming has been a great year, there’s no doubt about it. But with one of the best and busiest years in gaming, the only downside is deciding which games will spend less free time and make more money. Well, if you’re a PlayStation head, don’t look far. With the PlayStation 5 released in late 2020, the PlayStation 4 is entering its twilight years, but will launch with an absolute bang, releasing some of the coolest video games ever created for consoles. in this year. While these aren’t all excluded, they’re the best, worst, best PlayStation games of 2019 (so far, this is geared towards Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order and Death Stranding) to add to your library.
⚪ Resident Evil 2
This trip is back to the most memorable game in the Resident Evil series that combines the classic RE2 world with the awesome, controversial Resident Evil 4 control scheme. It makes for an enjoyable and scary ride down the memory lane. Resident Evil 2 is a shining example of how to remake a game with charm. There’s a lot of rumors about a Resident Evil remake, at the top of the series’ reincarnation with RE7 in 2017, so there’s a lot to admire about the backbone of this horror game. (Released January 25)
⚪ Kingdom Hearts III
The long-awaited third Kingdom Hearts game (14 years to be exact) has finally come to us, and while the fan base is somewhat divided, don’t be fooled by it’s a game. great. The best part is we haven’t finished playing yet, with the new ReMind DLC right around the corner. So really, it’s the perfect time to dive into this silly world. DLC promises new keyblades, new playable characters, and a whole new confusing legend for the series. (Released January 29)
⚪ Apex Legends

Apex Legends only gives Fortnite some money, Apex Legends brings some great new additions to the format, along with truly epic gameplay. Brought to us by Respawn Entertainment, it’s no wonder this is a tight, fast-paced and exciting game. Apex is still gaining impressive traction with consistent updates, managing to keep up its massive player base throughout the year. (Released February 4)
⚪ Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice
Hailed from From Software (an impossible sentence), the team brought us Dark Souls and Bloodborne, to this hard yet addictive style game. Persistent fighting, great level design, and inspiring bosses make Sekiro a place on From Software’s list of never-ending titles. This will surely satisfy your death desire while we wait for George R.R. Martin x From Software collab Elden Ring, whenever it ends. (Released on March 22)
⚪ Mortal Kombat 11
The game that stems from the debate about violent video games is back, better and most importantly bloodier than ever. Backed by a massive cast, deep customization options, a nice story and more DLC along the way, it’s a game that’s still worth your money a year. Fights are fast and smooth, and some DLC characters (i.e. Spawn or Terminator) are great additions to the squad. It is easily one of the best fighting games of the year. (Released April 23)
⚪Crash Team Racing: Nitro-Fueled
This is a remake of the driver in 1999, after the great success of Crash N. Sane Trilogy. This is one of the only true Mario Kart clones delivered, and the best “kart” racer PlayStation has ever seen, with drooling fans to get this stunning HD remake. Nitro-Fueled is constantly updated with new characters, music, cups, etc., bringing replayability, along with lots of support. (Released June 21)
⚪ Monster Hunter World: Iceborne
This is not a new game, but a huge expansion pack for an epic title. I have been a huge Monster Hunter fan since Monster Hunter 3, and this is easily the best game in the series. Icetern brings a whole new world, tons of new features, armor and monsters to further expand and improve the already fantastic vanilla version of the game. While Icetern’s $ 40 price tag seems a little daunting, especially if you buy the original game for full price, the new content store is more than enough to warrant. ⚪ Borderlands 3
The long-awaited third entry in the Borderlands series finally arrived on the PlayStation in September. This title birthed the shooter/RPG/loot-grind genre a decade ago, and is still doing it best. Borderlands 3 is the quintessential RPG looter, wholly embracig the series’ history while adding some truly awesome new features and lore. (Released September 13)
⚪ Concrete Genie
An incredibly creative, kind and inspiring game, Concrete Genie brings the world a break from violent and aggressive video games with a good story about a child, the art and the way deal. The game rewards players for their time to really enhance the beauty of the landscape. Complete with a relaxing VR paint mode, this is a great PlayStation game unlike the other games we’ve seen recently released. (Released on October 8)
⚪ Plants vs. Zombies: Battle for Neighborville
These Plants vs Zombies games may look like they are for children, and they are, but they are an absolute explosion. Really creative characters and level designs, and some really fun family-friendly shooting games make this our official entry for the best PS4 game for all ages. The title has surprising depth, along with a number of game modes, maps, and more to lend its replay elements. Don cage sleeping on these games, they will surprise you. (Released on October 18)
⚪ Call of Duty: Modern Warfare
Call of Duty has had a recent market share error, so it’s nice to see it back in the right direction. Although this game is not perfect, this is the last time we have felt the golden age of Call of Duty for a long time. The title doesn’t feel rushed, it’s error free, and most importantly, it’s not fooled with paying bullshit. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare feels like a kick in all the best ways and some of the worst (read: camping); It’s great to be back at the COD that we all love. (Released October 25)
⚪ The Outer Worlds
Obsidian is back, baby, and better than ever. Goliath developed the century action RPG responsible for the games in the Elder Scrolls and the Fallout franchise to make one of the coolest games of the year on its own. The outside world allows players to truly immersive through an incredible number of options, with countless consequences. Combined with really interesting gameplay and extremely engaging storylines, The Outside World is a must for RPG lovers. (Released October 25)
⚪ Death Stranding
A title that seems to have been stuck in purgatory for many years, Death Stranding is from the mastermind of Metal Gear Hideo Kojima, a close god in the gaming industry. (This is his first solo title after the movie Konami.) We have received a few surprising looks about the star-studded cast, as well as some outstanding stories, which are very confusing. Although the game has mixed opinions, it should definitely be tried, if only because of the extremely strange and profound storyline. (Released on November 15)
⚪ Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order
The awesome team at Respawn, which killed it with Apex Legends and the Titanfall series, is joining Star Wars. And while the EA publisher has a hard history with the Star Wars license, there’s still hope, because Respawn always pumps out sleek and compelling titles. The lightaber fight here is sufficient evidence. It seems that the Fallen Order will take us back to a long time ago when the Star Wars games were king, according to a Padawan in Emperor’s 66th Order to kill all Jedi. (Released on November 15)
