The Mod creator xD0IT has released what is definitely one of the more unique modifications for the action shooter EA Wars Star Wars Battlefront II.
Thanks to hard work of xD0IT, the recently released character model for Kylo Ren can now be shaped to resemble Pope John Paul II, who has been the head of a Catholic church since 1978 for until his death in 2005. The mod has three different skin layers, a custom portrait, a Star card and a yellow light sword.
xD0IT offers no explanation for the decision to pay homage to the former pope in this way and describes the mod simply: here, in this town, in Wadowice, everything has begun. Karol Józef Wojtyła, who later became Pope John Paul II at the age of 58.
Modder Battlefront II has been busy in recent weeks. In addition to the Pope character skin, six other mods have been uploaded to the Nexus Mod by xD0IT. Most recently the skin turned Lando Calrissian into Krzysztof Krawchot, a Polish pop and guitar singer. Jerzy Urban, a Polish journalist and writer, as well as Polish politician and philosopher Janusz Korwin-Mikke have similarities included in the game.
